Hearing Aid Fittings

Ensuring your hearing aids are tailored to you

Hearing Aid Fitting

The most successful hearing aids are those that are specifically fit and programmed to your individual needs. How hearing aids physically fit will largely influence whether you wear them or not. Looking at your ear shape, we’ll fit the hearing aids to you, so they sit comfortably yet securely in/around your ears. Hearing aids should be worn during all waking hours, so it’s important that they feel comfortable.

If your hearing aids are making your ears sore, please come back in for an adjustment. We want you to feel comfortable wearing your devices all day.

Hearing Aid Programming

Prescription hearing aids need to be professionally programmed by an audiologist. Using your hearing prescription, the results of your audiogram, along with real ear measurement (REM), we’ll precisely program your hearing aids based on your unique hearing profile. Real ear measurement involves placing a small microphone in the patient’s ear canal to measure the sound levels of their hearing aids. This allows our hearing specialists to fine-tune the settings of the device to ensure it provides the optimal level of amplification for your prescriptive needs.

Your hearing aids should provide you with clear, comfortable, and natural sound. We’ll have you come back in for a follow-up appointment to make any necessary adjustments and to ensure your devices are at the right level of amplification for you.
