Hearing Aids

Did you know?

Individuals with hearing loss wait an average of seven years to seek treatment. This can be linked to a number of health problems including social isolation, cognitive decline, depression, anxiety, and a higher risk of falling.

At Integral Audiology, we are committed to offering personalized, evidence-based solutions for each individual’s needs. We work with ALL major hearing aid manufacturers, and we are one of very few practices that offer an unbundled price model, meaning you only pay for the services you need.

Hearing Aid Services

Hearing Aid Fitting

During your Communication Needs Assessment, your provider will create a personalized treatment plan that may include hearing aids as part of the recommendation. If you choose to move forward with hearing aids, your provider will order the devices and customize the fit and sound for what you need. You will be taught how to use and care for your devices at home.

Hearing Aid Repair

Whether you obtained your hearing aids through us or someone else, we are here to help! If your device is not working, we are able to troubleshoot and do minor repairs in-office. For major repairs, we can send the device in to the manufacturer for you. We also offer a convenient drop-off option if a same-day appointment is not available.

Hearing Aid Maintenance

In order to keep your devices in optimal condition, we recommend professional maintenance of your hearing aids at least every 6 months. Standard maintenance at Integral Audiology includes replacing filters and domes, suctioning microphone ports, cleaning battery contacts, and placing the devices in a professional hearing aid dryer to remove any excess moisture.

Real Ear Verification

At Integral Audiology, we believe in following best practices to ensure success of all our patients, which is why ALL hearing aids fit at Integral Audiology are programmed to prescriptive targets using Real Ear Verification.

Electroacoustic Analysis

All hearing aids fit at Integral Audiology undergo test box measures before they are ever sent home with a patient. This ensures the devices meet national standards for prescriptive devices. If you think your devices are not working properly, let us take a look!

Soundfield Testing

Have you ever wondered what your hearing test scores would be WITH hearing aids? We offer sound field testing which involves retesting speech recognition with the hearing aids on!

Brands We Work With:

At Integral Audiology we offer a variety of different brands to meet the needs of our patients. We recognize that no two patients are alike, so by providing as many brands as possible, we can ensure we can find the correct hearing aid for each patient at the right price point. Don’t see your brand listed? Give us a call! We may still be able to service your devices.

Frequently Asked Questions

Two hearing aids is typically the recommendation. Our ears send sound to our brains for processing and understanding, and wearing just one hearing aid deprives the brain of valuable information. However, in certain cases, one hearing aid may be recommended. This is why a comprehensive hearing test and communication needs assessment is so critical in creating the best recommendation for YOU!

Yes! Hearing aids should be worn everyday. The more we wear hearing aids, the better they sound and the healthier it is for our brains. Hearing aids should be taken off for sleeping, water activities, or whenever around extremely loud sounds (e.g. rock concerts, power tools, etc.).

Hearing aids come in different styles and different technology levels. Some hearing aids sit behind the ear while others sit completely inside the ear canal. Hearing aids from Integral Audiology are all prescriptive devices, and there is no “one size fits all.” Your provider will review your hearing test as well as thoroughly discuss your specific needs to make the best recommendation for you.

With proper care and maintenance, most hearing aids last 4-6 years. In some cases, we have seen patients wear a pair of hearing aids for over 10 years!

We recommend having your hearing aids serviced at least every six months to keep them functioning well.
