The Widex Allure is Widex’s most recent flagship hearing aid (released 2025). It is designed around the philosophy that hearing aids should sound as natural as possible, minimizing the artificial “digital” sound often associated with amplification.

1. Core Processing (W1 Chip)

The Allure is powered by the new W1 processor, which offers significantly faster speeds and more memory than previous Widex generations.

  • ZeroDelay™ Technology: This helps eliminate the tiny delay between the natural sound entering the ear and the amplified sound from the hearing aid. By processing sound in just 0.5 milliseconds, it removes the “comb-filter” distortion effect, resulting in a more natural, non-metallic sound quality.

  • PureSound™ Program: Utilizing the W1 chip’s speed, this default listening program is designed to make the environment sound as authentic as possible, often preferred by users who find traditional hearing aids too harsh or artificial.

2. Precision Hearing Technology

This suite of features automatically adjusts to different acoustic environments to prioritize clarity without losing the sense of space.

  • Speech Enhancer Pro: Uses a 52-band analysis system to separate speech from noise with high granularity. It boosts the volume of speech signals while simultaneously managing background noise, aiming to improve intelligibility in difficult listening situations.

  • Enhanced Sound Classifier: The hearing aid constantly monitors the acoustic environment and sorts it into one of 11 distinct “sound classes” (such as Quiet, Party, or Music). It then smooths the transition between these classes so the user doesn’t experience jarring shifts in volume or tone.

  • Auracast™ Ready: The hardware is equipped to receive Auracast broadcast audio, a future standard that will allow users to tune into public audio streams (like lecture hall feeds or airport announcements) directly.
